See your site as it actually is.

Northline Readiness measures industrial and institutional sites — interior capture to the centimetre, drone mapping from above — then builds the emergency plans and exercises against what was actually measured. Interior LiDAR and 360 walkthroughs, drone 3D models, terrain and change detection, delivered in a client portal with a readiness score. On-site across North America.

Interactive demonstrations you can measure yourself

Ten demonstrations run in a browser with no sign-up, on real survey data. Open one and take the measurement yourself.

Stockpile survey

An aggregate pit rebuilt in 3D from 158 drone photographs. Measure a pile’s volume, cut a section through a bench, read any height. Our surface was differenced against a terrestrial laser scan of the same ground: 43,698 cells compared, 9 cm median difference, 97.5% of cells within 25 cm.

Defect and crack survey

A drone flies a building elevation and every defect is traced at pixel level — cracking, peeling render, staining and erosion — followed along its length rather than boxed, covering the whole face instead of the parts reachable from a ladder. The demonstration is shown with a research dataset’s hand labels — Northline’s facade detector is next.

Terrain and canopy (LiDAR)

One airborne laser flight returns both surfaces: the forest canopy and the ground beneath it. 5,081,020 returns over forested Canadian Shield in Muskoka, Ontario. Our bare earth lands on the province’s own ground points to a 0 cm median — under dense canopy, on points it never saw; 95% of cells within 13 cm, 582,159 cells compared.

Thermal survey

Temperature measured rather than photographed. Every pixel is a calibrated temperature reading from a drone thermal survey of a solar installation, ranging 27.2 °C to 49.1 °C across one scene. Faults are flagged for expert review and a consultant attests every finding.

We measure the building first. Then we plan for it.

Most emergency plans are written against a floor plan that is years out of date and one walkthrough somebody did once. Northline captures the site as it is today, then writes and exercises the plan against that measurement. The scan is not a separate business; it is how the planning work is done.

Northline Capture — patent pending.

Plan reviews and HIRA

Expert review against the applicable Canadian and United States standards, including NFPA 1600 and CSA Z1600, with hazard identification and risk assessment anchored to a visual walkthrough of the facility. Findings link back to your plans and stay current as the site changes.

Exercises run against the real building

A tabletop against a measured model of your facility is a different exercise: real staging areas, real egress widths, the pipe where it actually runs. Tabletop, functional and full-scale exercises, with after-action reports written for inspectors.

Digital facility

Hazards, utility shutoffs, fire protection systems and critical assets documented inside an interactive model your team reaches before, during and after an emergency.

Readiness as a number that moves

A readiness score visible to your team every day rather than once a year, in a client portal alongside your plans, findings, hazard overlays and exercise history. It moves with plan compliance, exercise cadence, open findings and how recently the site was captured.

Training

Hands-on emergency response training on real ground: collapsed structure, confined space, technical rescue and robotics. A measured building is where a plan starts; training is where it becomes something a team can carry out.

Industries served

Industrial operators — chemical, ammonia refrigeration, fuel terminals, oil and gas, water and wastewater, food processing, pharmaceuticals and mining. We capture tank farms, process areas and stockpiles, then plan for release, fire and evacuation.

Healthcare systems — hospitals, multi-facility networks and emergency department decontamination receiving teams, including CMS and Accreditation Canada exercise programmes. We capture decontamination corridors, egress routes and plant rooms, then plan and exercise surge and evacuation.

Critical infrastructure — utilities, power, telecommunications, water, transportation and other regulated critical infrastructure operators. We capture substations, corridors and remote sites, then plan against outage and access failure.

How the measurements are stated

Measurements are scan-derived and accurate to roughly a centimetre. They are evidence to support expert review, not survey-grade, and never an automatic compliance verdict: the consultant references the applicable codes and makes the call. Every finding is attested by a person.

Capture work is processed on Northline-controlled infrastructure in North America and is never handed to a third-party scanning service. Captures from Canadian sites are processed and stored in Canada.
